About This Quiz

In the 1980's we said goodbye to Disco and said hello to genres like New Wave, Dance Music and Soft Rock. This decade was also called "the Golden Age of Hip-Hop" which paved the way for its success in the following decade. We also saw a rise in digital recordings and the launch of television channel MTV, one of the only ones on television to have aired music videos.

From the greats like Michael "M.J." Jackson, Phil Collins and George Michael to lesser-known artists like Corey Hart, Adam Ant and Kenny Loggins, the 1980s was one of the best decades for music and entertainment. We were introduced to songs like "Hotel California," "In the Air Tonight" and many others which are still being played today.

Whether or not you were alive during the '80s, you should know who most of these artists are as some of their careers have long surpassed that decade. Can you correctly identify all of these musical icons? Will you belong to the 11% or the 89%? There is only one way to find out, and that is by taking this quiz! When you're done, ask your friends and family to join in on the fun.
