According to some counts, the average number of fish caught each and every year is somewhere between 790 billion and 2.3 trillion give or take a couple hundred billion. You know, nothing major. That's more fish than you can shake a stick at and a heck of a lot of fish sticks waiting to happen, too. Most of that is commercial fishing, that large-scale industrial sort of thing that involves big nets and bigger boats and is in no way anything like the sport of angling or the relaxation of just sitting in a chair by a lake with a line in the water and a drink in your hand. Ahh, fishing. It can be the most fun you have on a Sunday morning if you let it. It can also be an intense battle between you and nature, or a bonding experience between friends and family. There's a lot more going on when it comes to reeling in a salmon than it seems at first glance.ÂÂ
When it comes to fishing, it's hard not to get caught up in the thrill of hooking the big one. The challenge of that mix of luck and skill that goes into getting the biggest fish you ever caught. Think we can guess what your biggest was? Take the quiz and see!
