About This Quiz
From their inception in the early days of aviation - the first passenger route was between St. Petersburg and Tampa, Florida and was established in 1914 - airliners have moved people all over the world.ÂÂ
Starting out small, and with just domestic routes like that one way back in 1914, routes soon started between states, provinces, capitals and eventually across the sea to other continents.ÂÂ
The first commercial transatlantic flight was actually achieved by Germany when a Focke Wulf Condor 200 flew from Berlin to Brooklyn in 1948.
With the age of the jet airliner, things changed even more considerably. These massive aircraft could fly fast, and link up parts of the world that before could only be reached by sea, and over a period of months. This was now cut down to a few days.ÂÂ
And so we come to the purpose of this quiz. Since the advent of the passenger transport or airliner, there have been many companies that have had their planes fly domestic routes and all over the world. But would you be able to identify them by just looking at the logo on their tail fin? Some are easy, while others will certainly put you to the test!
What are you waiting for? Good luck!
