About This Quiz
College football, quite obviously, is American football that is played at the collegiate level. The players are students who attend both American and Canadian universities, military academies and colleges. It is considered to be the stepping stone that players need to make it to the NFL, into which they are drafted after three or four years of playing.Â
The first college football games took place in the mid-1800s when football was played with a round ball. It would take decades for the game to develop and for it to become what it is today. The earliest players included Princeton, Rutgers University, Columbia University and Yale, all of which are still members of the league today. But could you name them if we showed you only a picture of their logo?
Some of them are pretty self-explanatory; if we show you a picture of a tiger, then the name of the team may include tiger. Others aren't so easy. And this is why we want to test just how well you know the teams and their logos. Do you think you can correctly name all these college football teams for us? Or will you need to go back to college and take a course about it? Let's find out.Â
