About This Quiz
Chevy began competing with Ford a century ago, and the “Who’s better?†debate continues to this day.Â
Whether you’re talking about pickup trucks or sporty coupes, sedans or SUVs, Chevy and Ford partisans will give no ground on their brand loyalty.Â
That spirit of competition has also played out on racetracks, where the two brands have been duking it out for decades. Ford can boast about winning the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans four years in a row, with the 1966 1-2-3 victory dramatized in the 2019 hit film, “Ford v Ferrari. Chevy has a long history of winning the Indy 500, starting way back in 1920 and 1921, when cars built and campaigned by the Chevrolet brothers – Louis, Arthur and Gaston – won the American classic.
It’s not all about racing, of course, and both brands would say the most important competition is in the showroom. There, both Chevy and Ford offer models in all the popular segments, although both have been dropping passenger cars in favor of building more crossovers and SUVs.
Historically, both Chevy and Ford have introduced some great designs. Chevy can point to the 1955-1957 models as American icons, with the 1963 Corvette Sting Ray as a landmark sports car. Ford’s sleek 1949 model line broke new design ground, it’s 1955-1957 Thunderbird was in instant classic, and the 1965 Mustang remains beloved by collectors around the world.
Whether you're a diehard Chevy buff or Ford fan, you’re bound to enjoy trying to tell their models apart in this 50-question quiz. So dig in!
