About This Quiz
As the song says, "O Canada! Our home and native land!" Perhaps it's not your native land, but you might just love the "True North!" anyway - enough to know its geography.
Canada was first settled along with the rest of the North American continent, by native tribes who are today known as the First Nations. These hardy folk had been in place some thousands of years when French explorer Jacques Cartier arrived. In French history, Cartier is credited with the discovery and naming of Canada, and France soon laid claim to much of it, alongside other European powers. While the United Kingdom had control of the area known as British Columbia, France's colonies dominated the areas of modern-day New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. As colonial history unfolded, Canada expanded from the Atlantic across the span of North America, all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
How well do you know this beautiful land? How many territories make up Canada? Where would you find the only French-speaking province? What is the capital of Alberta? How many Great Lakes lie along the border of Canada and the United States? If you can answer these questions, you're ready for this quiz! Now click with your glowing hearts, and stand on guard for thee!
