If you look all over the Asian continent, one would find tons and tons of landmarks to visit. While some of them would be relatively new, there are many that have been around for centuries. Do you know them?
One of the oldest Asian landmarks is Petra. Found in Jordan, Petra is an ancient city that you've might've caught glimpses of in films like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and The Mummy Returns. While this landmark serves as the backdrop for many films, there are tons of others that deserve the recognition.
Who could forget the Great Wall of China, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World? At over 10,000 feet long, it is one of the most well-known Asian landmarks. There's also the Taj Mahal in the neighboring country of India. This landmark is a mausoleum that was built by an emperor for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Also known as Wat Arun, this beautiful temple was erected more than 300 years ago, but the central prang and the four surrounding towers weren't developed until the 19th century. It is the feature of many legends and was named after the Indian God of Dawn called Aruna, hence the name Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn).
