About This Quiz

Cartoons are a form of hand-drawn illustration which uses both non-realistic and realistic styles of drawing and painting intended for humor. They range from two-dimensional print media that can be seen in comic books and newspapers to caricatures and animated series. There is a full spectrum of cartoons which continues to grow and evolve as time passes.

In this quiz, however, we are referring to animated cartoons, specifically those which are seen on television. We first saw black-and-white shows like "Felix the Cat" in the silent era, then in the golden ages, we saw "Steamboat Willie" starring Disney's Mickey Mouse in 1928. From there, the toons went from purely drawings to more of a computer generated approach, giving rise to shows like the new "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and "The Backyardigans."
