Cities have so much to offer. If you're someone who likes the hustle and bustle at all times, being around more people than you can count, and having all of the hottest restaurants and fitness classes at your disposal, you definitely belong in the city. But you can be a city girl and not love all of those things. It gets tiring after a while. The long commutes, the tourists taking up the entire sidewalk and stopping in the middle of crowded place to take a photo can make anyone retreat to the countryside. If you're a true city girl, you can see past all of the annoyances and crowds and appreciate the city for what it is.
Making friends sure is a lot easier, and if you're someone who doesn't like running into people you know on the street, the city is definitely for you. There are small neighborhoods that don't fully feel like the city, though, so if you aren't ready to go full metropolitan, those might be the places for you.
