Many books in the New Testament follow the life of Jesus, and an essential part of his life was his 12 apostles. As you might expect with "post" being a part of the word, these 12 men were meant to share Jesus' teachings with the world. Which of them was you?
While you might not be able to catch a real glimpse of their faces, you might recognize them from the popular painting of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. This took place the night before Jesus' crucifixion. In the image, you'll find Jesus, as well as apostles: Andrew, Bartholomew, James, son of Alphaeus, James, son of Zebedee, John, Judas, Judas Iscariot, Matthew, Philip, Peter, Simon, and Thomas.
Some of these names might be more obscure than others, but there are a few that many remember! Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus and was a pivotal person in the matters that led to Jesus' crucifixion. You might recognize Thomas name as the one who doubted Jesus. Although Peter, or Simon Peter, denied Jesus three times, he would go on to be the first Pope. Which of these apostles are you?
