About This Quiz
American Girl Dolls, created by The Pleasant Company, were aimed at teaching young girls about the history of America. Each doll was from a different time period, generally when there was some kind of conflict. Addy was from 1864, the Civil War era; Elizabeth was from a Loyalist family during the American Revolution; and another doll, Rebecca, was a Jewish immigrant to New York City in 1910, along with her family. The stories behind all of these characters are rich ones that can really help kids learn about times way back in history and see how they still impact life today. Plus, it was really fun to change their clothes and do their hair.
The company behind American Girl was established in 1986, and initially the dolls were only available for purchase through mail order, making them even more special to own. Since its creation, the American Girl brand has exploded. There were books and trading cards back in the '90s, and now there are movies, soundtracks, TV shows and more dolls than ever before.ÂÂ
But we're taking it back to the classics. Want to know which classic American Girl Doll you are? Take this quiz to find out!
