It takes forever.

They warm up to people right away.

Yes. My cat truly thinks that they are a divinity to be worshiped.

It's equally as common for me to get my way as to not.
All I want is love and affection, and I do tend to get that.

I make their food from scratch every day.
They eat some dry food and some canned food.

Absolutely.
I definitely have my moments.
I'm really not very affectionate.
It's pretty rare for me to be in an affectionate mood.

That is not going to happen, or it takes very specific circumstances.
It's more likely that my cat will meow until I come and pay attention to them.
That happens within a few minutes.
That may take a little while, but it is pretty inevitable.

I'm fine, it's these other bumbling idiots around me that are the problem.
I'm not clumsy at all.
I'm so relaxed that I do tend to fumble around with things.

We both cave almost immediately.

They are pretty skilled. I'm always in awe of their patience and quick reaction times.
They think they are better than they actually are.
They are only good at hunting out a comfy spot on the couch.
They are constantly presenting a wide range of dead things to me.
