About This Quiz
One of the common misconceptions about the superhero genre is that it's a guy's thing. But all women (and all the best men) know that fighting for truth and justice, defending the little guy, and undertaking great feats of strength are goals that all good and decent people can relate to.Â
Indeed, even before masters of the superhero genre like Stan Lee and Jack Kirby came on the scene, the classic superhero was actually pioneered by Emma Orczy, with her proto-superhero tales of "The Scarlet Pimpernel." Before her, Mary Shelley invited the entire science fiction genre. So clearly, ladies have been there from the get-go.
Whether a guy or a gal, we've all dreamed of fighting injustice or crime, after all - and some of us even manage to actually do it in our own way. Whether it's speaking up for a victim of bullying, working to end poverty or disease, or simply baking a cake for a lonely neighbor, we all have an inner superhero. Some of us use our wits; some use our social position, some are physically strong enough put our bodies in harm's way to protect others - and many of us simply draw on reserves of courage or resilience that we maybe didn't even know we had until the moment came. So when we see our favorite superheroines on a screen, we already know that we're at least a little bit like them. It's time to find out exactly which one best matches your own inner hero!
